www.jollywoodjharkhand.com is the The first website in which the Art & Culture, Education, Media and Films of Jharkhand State have been mingled together in one flavour. This site has been inaugurated by Dr. Siddnath Kumar an eminent drama writer and scholar of the country.
Dr. Kumar said that this website has become a history and the credit for making this history goes to the director of the site Mr. Sushil Ankan. On this occasion Ashok Pagal, a renowned drama artist, Binod Kumar and Dhananjay Nath Tiwary the film makers expressed their feelings before the intellectual audience and gave their best wishes to this website.

Hastakshar staged "kahan Ho Parashu Ram"
  A pioneer drama club in capital "Hastakshar" staged a drama titled "Kahan Ho Parashu Ram" writen & directed by Ashok Pagal. Shishir Pandit, Sushil Ankan, Vishwnath Prasad, Reena Sahay, Om Prakash, Keerti Shankar Verma, S.Mridula and Ashok Pagal enacted the play. Whereas Vishwanath handled the stage decoration, Sound Effects created by Sushil Ankan and Light arrangement was of Rishi Prakash. Eminent personality from Art-n-culture, literature and administration were the witness of the drama.
  This drama was the shower for thirsty artists in capital.

Doordarshan Celebrated Lok Utsava....
  Doordarshan Ranchi celebrated Lok Utsava on 30th & 31st March 09 at its own premises. 14 folk dance groups were invited to perform their bests on the stage before a class audience. Dr.Girdhari Ram Gounjhu 'Giriraj' scholar in Tribal & Regional department, RU,Ranchi and an eminent folk artist Mukund Nayak collectively inaugurated the ceremony, while the Station Director Mr.Shailesh Pandit and Station Engineer Anupam Swaroop welcome the guests.

Lok Rag - Rang Basant ....A Unique Programme
A Folk-Soul based stage programme "Lok Rag- Rang Basant" was organized on 21 Feb 09 at Guru Nanak School Auditorium, Ranchi. Mr. B.N.Tiwari, Hussain Kachhi, Dinesh Singh, M.Z. Khan, Binoy Bhushan, Jeb Akhatar, Kumar Sanjay, Shiva Kumar & Nirala were the members of organizing committee. Young folk artists from different places of Jharkhand performed there bests. A large number of audiences enjoyed the programme.

Histoy of Ranchi Unveiled....
  A book "Ranchi - Tab aur Ab" written by an eminent writer of the nation Shrawan Kumar Goswami has been unveiled by Indar Singh Naamdhari, Balbeer Dutta, Dr. Dineshwar Prasad, Harivansh & Dr. Maya Prasad on 08th Feb 2009 at Ranchi Jain Mandir Auditorium. All the guests members expressed their views on such a historically comparative book. A large number of Intellectuals and artists were present at the programme.

Show of Tune of Kankila.....
  A Documentary Film on Sitar Maestro Late Prabhat Thakur has been inaugurated jointly by Jacob CJ, Principal of Army School, Ranchi and Mr. Gautam Sengupta Station incharge All India Radio, Ranchi on 07 Feb 09 at Indian Medical Association Hall, Bariatu Road, Ranchi. A large gathering appreciated the film directed by Sushil Ankan and presented by Chirasatya thakur. With many dignified audiences, all PEXs of AIR were present at the moment.

Theater Personality Surendra Sharma Passed Away...
  One of the most eminent theater, Radio & television artist Surendra Sharma passed away on 19th January 2009 at 09:30 AM. He was 71. Since four years he was suffering from Parkinson disease. Mr. Sharma has been awarded several times for his theater work. He was an approved grade 'A' Radio Drama Artist by Directorate of All India Radio, New Delhi. He was one of the Voice Artists in the very first drama produced by All India Radio, Ranchi in 1958.

Jharkhand Sweeps All Top Awards in All India Drama Festival at Dehri-On-Son Bihar
  Drama Groups of Jharkhand State have won the first, second & third awards in All India Short Play Competition 2008 Organized by Abhinav Kala Sangam Dalmia Nagar, Bihar. "Path" drama group of Jamshedpur, got the first prize for "Sudama Ka Chawal" and "Melody" drama group of Medini Nagar (Daltonganj), stood 2nd for its play "Ghant Ghotan Ki Nautanki" and "Natrang" Dhanbad, got 3rd prize for the play "Good bye Swami"

  An Audio CD on Tattvartha Sutra (Moksha Shashtra) has been released on 23th Nov 2008 at Digambar Jain Mandir, Ranchi. Tattvartha Sutra is written by Jain Aacharya Uma Swami Jee Maharaj and has been recorded in the voice of Jain Sadhhwi Aaryaika 105 Vibhshree Mata Jee. The Tattvartha Sutra is most popular but serious holy book of Jain Anusashan. The CD is presented by Sohan Lal - Maina Devi Binaykya, Dinhata (WB) and Subhash-Sarita-Sourabh-Surabhi Binaykya, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
3rd Jharkhand Cine-Kala Award 2008 Declared
  Eminent film director Gautam Ghose inaugurated the Jharkhand Cine-Kala Award ceremony 2008 at Ranchi Club on 06th Nov 2008. Sushil ankan, Mrinalini Akhaouri, Vipul Nayak & Eklavaya have been honoured with Outstanding Awards this year. Best Director was V.M.Virag for Goria Tor Kiriya and Best Actor-Deepak Lohar, Best Actress - Varsha Lakra. The ceremony was organised by Kuchh Khas Events & Prayas the Effort of Ranchi.
